Jorge Ramirez was born on February 23,1978 in East Los Angeles, CA. He spent the first years of his life in Inglewood CA, later moving to the North East section of Los Angeles, Highland Park. Jorge has been in the midst of Hip-Hop culture his entire life. From a street break-dancer, to a graffiti artist, to a full-blown MC now, he has lived it all. He has taken on the name of Reazn to stress his style of rapping. There is a reason to what he is says and how he says it! Influenced by artists such as: Too-Short, Run-DMC, Mellow Man Ace, Goodie Mob, Outkast (the whole dungeon family), Nas, NWA, KRS ONE, Gangstarr, and by genres such as classic rock, oldies, and reggae, Reazn has never lost sight of what it takes to make it in this world…a strong work ethic. He has applied this ethic towards everything in his art, resulting in nothing short of lyrical superiority.
Reazn approaches the game with an intense, intricate, and flipped out style. His melodic at times and hard hitting at others, flow, merges with diverse sounds to create a unique Hip Hop style. Unlike most Latino MC’s, Reazn seeks to break the stereotypes by focusing just as strongly on his delivery style and wordplay, as his lyrical content and message. In his content, Reazn strays from the typical gangster/bling bling elements that currently dominate the market, and focuses on real subject matter. His content can best be described as very lyrical, almost conscious, with a street edge. He blends all his talent and message into spoken intellect matched only by the distinctness of the music on which he flows. What makes Reazn stand out from the other MCs is that he expresses his art form in Spanish!
There aren’t very many that can claim Hip Hop ability in two languages, making Reazn a true pioneer in the growing Spanish Hip Hop movement. He brings the same characteristics that make him unique in English to his Spanish rapping style. His Spanish rap is not a mere translation of English words and statements; Reazn uses an extensive vocabulary and pertinent metaphors to entertain his listeners. His fluency in both languages allows him to seamlessly move from Spanish to English, drawing upon universal experiences that connect him with his audiences
To understand the intricacies and meaning of his rapping style is to understand Reazn. He has the focus, wit, and determination to take his art to the masses. He continuously is working on every aspect of art and life to ensure that what he offers is simply the best. Jorge Ramirez nació el 23 de febrero en 1978 en el este de Los Angeles, CA. Vivió sus primeros anós en Inglewood CA, luego se mudó a Highland Park, la parte norte-este de Los Angeles. Jorge se ha enterado en la cultura de Hip-Hop toda su vida. Él lo ha vivido todo, desde ser un“break-dancer” de la calle, a ser un artista de graffiti, hasta ser un MC hoy día. Su nombre Reazn esta usado para reflejar su estilo de rapiar. ¡Hay razón a lo que dice, y como lo dice! Influido por artistas como: Too-Short, Run-DMC, Mellow Man Ace, Goodie Mob, Outkast (the whole dungeon family), Nas, NWA, KRS ONE, Gangstarr, y por diferente géneros de música como rock, oldies, y reggae, Reazn nunca se ha desviado de la importancia de trabajar. Él ha aplicado estas enseniansas a todos los aspectos de su arte, resultando en una superioridad lírica.
Reazn domina éste campo con un estilo fuerte, detallado, y único. Uno de los raperos más pesados, él se ha juntado con el sonido unico de Contraband para crear Hip-Hop verdadero. Reazn mezcla su talento y mensaje en su poder lírico que solo va conjunto a sus sonidos pesados. ¡Y cuando piensas que no se pueda mejorar, él cambia su estilo y comparte su capacidad en espanol.
No hay muchos raperos quienes dominan Hip Hop en dos idiomas. Reazn se establece como único entre los otros MCs con su estilo biligüe. Muchos han tratando de rapiar en espanol, pero no han tenido éxito. Tipicamente, otros ni tienen la capacidad en espanol, que luego se nota obviamente. Su rap en espanol no es una traducción de inglés, sino usa un vocalublaio extenisvo y crea metáforas para solicitar interés.
Entender lo significado y lo complejo de su estilo es entender a Reazn. Él tiene el enfoque, sabiduría y determinación para llevar su arte la pueblo. Constantemente esta trabajando en cada aspecto de su arte y vida, para asegurar que lo que ofrezca es lo mejor.
