Mexico's Best Kept Secret: El Sekreto

The story of Sekreto has its beginnings on the streets of Gomez Palacio, Durango in Mexico, where he began as a graffiti taggers and formed a crew called ETA (En Tu Area), Sekreto's neighborhood homeboys had already started to experiment with Rap music, His friends formed two different groups one called Ce Cen Cem and the other BocaH. Both Ce Cen Cem and BocaH would preform at local Hip Hop events and began to introduce Sekreto to the public by adding him on alot of the group's songs. Both of groups along with Sekreto would come to be known as the G Lokos.

Sekreto would constantly record music with both groups and eventually take part of the LP "G Locos Vs. El Mundo". It was during this LP's Recoding that Sekreto, BocaH and Ce Cen Cem would record the song "Caballeros Del Plan G", which became a national underground hit taking the G Lokos on small tour. The impact of the song would be so big on the nations Hip Hop Sense that the public would come to know them as Caballeros Del Plan G

In the year 2000 Sekreto would start to establish himself as a solo artist with the release of the single "3XL" produced by Serko Fuentes, and shortly after filmed the music video. With a single and music video Sekreto started his tour across Mexico including cities like Oaxaca, Mexicali, Piedras Negras, Ciudad Obregón, Toluca, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Monterrey, Saltillo, Torreón, among others.

By 2001 Ce Cen Cem and BocaH had formed a fusion adapting the name Caballeros Del Plan G and had started production of the next LP "Abrindo Puertas". Sekreto continue to participate during the production of the album. Shorty after Sekreto would get signed to Sones Del Mexside and participate on a song for his new label mates Control Machete for the groups third album "Un, Dos; Bandera". Sekreto would drag his whole G Lokos family into the album turning the song into a Mexican Hip Hop classic.

With both Caballeros Del Plan G and Control Machete's album on the streets Sekreto was keeping pretty busy traveling from city to city becoming a new icon of Mexican Hip Hop. Between 2005 and 2007 Sekreto was booked shows in California and Nevada, hitting cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura, Sacramento, Fresno and Las Vegas just to name a few. He has been seen sharing the stage with artists like Cypress Hill, The Psycho Realm, Kemo The Blaxican, Delinquent Habits, Malverde, 2Mex, Cartel De Santa and Akwid among others.

Sekreto's album "En Tu Area" is just finished was under direction of DJ Toyof Control Machete fame, and is set to drop later this year around the month of June.
