Music Group/Universal Music Latino! DJ Muggs VS Sick Jacken “The Legend of The Mask & The Assassin” will arrive in stores everywhere on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 and even though underground hip-hop’s most anticipated collaboration is more than a month away, fans everywhere can get their first taste of the album immediately. Beginning today, the album’s first two singles, “The Mask & The Assasin” and “El Barrio” are available online at iTunes and all digital stores.
For months the buzz has been growing exponentially for the release of the collaboration album between the founder and musical
mastermind of Cypress Hill and the voice of underground hip-hop’s most menacing group Psycho Realm. DJ Muggs and Sick Jacken have
already begun to wage an urban assault in the West Coast with three secret shows in Los Angeles over the last week previewing the new album. Now the rest of the world gets to officially hear the singles that are already impacting urban radio and online portals with the e-single releases online.
These two singles include “The Mask & The Assassin” a vivid tale that lyrically parallels the history that led to the inevitable collaboration between two of hip-hop’s most dominant forces and “El Barrio” the Spanish-language single that is sure to become
an anthem for Latino neighborhoods throughout the world. Both songs also feature the lyrical participation of Cynic from Street Platoon. Music videos for these two songs are currently being developed and will be seen at national music video outlets at the end of August.
The digital launch is the first of various important events that will accompany the launch of the first release from Rebel Music Group/Universal Music Latino including various performances throughout the West Coast, appearances on important television programming, in-store autograph signings and visits to key urban music radio programs. An international tour will also follow in the fall.

DJ Muggs VS Sick Jacken “The Legend of The Mask & The Assassin” estará a la venta a partir del Martes 11 de septiembre del 2007 y es una de las colaboraciones urbanas mas esperadas del año. A pesar de que este lanzamiento esta a mas de un mes de salir a la venta, los fanáticos pueden darse una probadita del disco a partir de hoy. Los dos primeros sencillos del disco “The Mask & The Assasin” y “El Barrio” están disponibles en iTunes y otras tiendas digitales.
Por meses ha crecido la anticipación del lanzamiento del disco que cuenta con la colaboración del fundador y cerebro tras Cypress Hill y la voz amenazadora de Psycho Realm, uno de los artistas más grandes en la escena subterránea del Hip-Hop. Dj Muggs y Sick Jacken ya empezaron su ataque por la Costa Oeste presentándose la semana pasada en tres conciertos secretos en Los Angeles, donde exhibieron su nuevo material. Ahora el resto del mundo oficialmente puede escuchar vía el Internet los nuevos sencillos los cuales ya están impactando la radio urbana y los diferentes portales del Internet.
Los sencillos incluyen “The Mask & The Assassin”, un cuento de leyenda que líricamente describe la historia de la colaboración de dos de los exponentes mas grandes del hip-hop y “El Barrio”, el sencillo en español que sin duda se convertirá himno en los barrios Latinos a través del mundo. Los dos temas cuentan también con la participación de Cynic, integrante del grupo Street Platoon. Los videos musicales para estas canciones se podrán ver a nivel nacional en los diferentes programas de música a finales de agosto.
El lanzamiento digital es el primero de varios eventos importantes que están planificados para el primer lanzamiento de Rebel Music Group/Universal Music Latino. Entre otras cosas habrá presentaciones por toda la Costa Oeste, apariencias en televisión, firmas de autógrafos en tiendas y visitas a las diferentes estaciones de radio urbana.
