You are cordially invited to the opening reception for my photography gallery show titled “El Mundo Es Un Barrio” at the Teocintli Gallery Space in Boyle Heights, California. This will be my second solo “Salvador Rojas Photography Gallery” exhibit. My first gallery show took place in July 2005 in Zaragoza, Spain with the theme of “Fotografia Chicana”. The majority of the photographs used for that exhibition were from Southern California with my Chicano Heritage as the main source of my inspiration.

Now that I have an opportunity to exhibit my photography in East Los Angeles, the city where I was born, the theme will be “El Mundo Es Un Barrio.” Going back to my roots, the photography for this show is going to be more diverse with photographs not only from Southern California but from throughout my travels from the Mission District in San Francisco to Chicago, New York City, Texas, Spain, Italy, Mexico City and Guadalajara, Mexico.
