La Virgen De Guadalupe | Coatlaxopeh Ilhuitl

The Virgin of Guadalupe is a symbol of the entire country of Mexico, marking the union between Christian devotion and Mexica Earth Mother deities in particular that of the Goddess Toci (Mother of the Gods in Nahuatl).

Among the Mexican emigrants and the Chicanos born in the United States, La Virgen de Guadalupe represents a trans national patriotism and is a symbol of their Mexican Identity.

Salvador Rojas Featured Artist:
I'll be one of the featured artist in the "Dia De La Virgen De Guadalupe" group exhibition. I'll be displaying some of my photographs (framed, matted, and signed) based on the iconic image of "La Virgen".
